The multiplier event held in October 2024 in Ireland as part of the EduFire Toolkit project was aimed at the operational sector of forest fires, bringing together firefighters, forest managers, local authorities and risk management experts. During the event, the educational modules developed were presented, highlighting their focus on fire prevention from a community and educational perspective.
Practical demonstrations of the toolkit tools were carried out, with an emphasis on the integration of scientific and operational knowledge in classrooms, as well as on active community participation to mitigate risks. In addition, the exchange of experiences between attendees was encouraged, exploring synergies between the educational field and operational practices in fire management. The event closed with joint recommendations to strengthen collaboration between educators and professionals in the sector, underlining the importance of early awareness as a key strategy in reducing forest fire risks.
